B Madhava Puri, PhD

Dr. B.M. Puri earned his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University and completed a Masters and PhD in Quantum Chemistry from Georgetown University in 1970. After completing postdoc work with the National Bureau of Standards in Washington DC, Dr. Puri moved on to rigorous study and practice of the Bhagavat Vedantic philosophy and Bhakti-yoga. He was one of the five founding charter members of the original Bhaktivedanta Institute in 1976, and became the Regional Director of the office in Juhu, Mumbai, India for a number of years. After diving deeper into the study of the philosophical relation between Bhagavat Vedanta and Hegel's Conceptual Realism, Dr. Puri returned to the United States in the 1990's. He opened the Princeton BVISCS in 2012.

Krishna Keshava Das

Krishna Keshava Das is the serving assistant to Dr. B Madhava Puri, Serving Director of the Bhakti Vedanta Institute of Spiritual Culture and Science (BVISCS) in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. He is a research assistant for the Institute. As such, he was the Primary Investigator for the “Two-Step Evaluation on the Origin of Life and the Relationship Between Scientific and Spiritual Worldviews” conducted from June to October 2022 by the BVISCS as part of the Georgetown University Undergraduate Virtual Internship and Experiential Work Initiative. He also organized the Institute's 11th and 12th international conferences, Science & Scientist 2023: Life & Cognition at the Intersection of Science, Philosophy, & Religion, and Science & Scientist 2024 | Systems Biology: The Scientific Understanding of Life Beyond Reductionism, as well as edited the conference proceedings. Under the affectionate guidance of Dr. B. M. Puri, the research focuses on the contribution of Hegelian and Bhagavat Vedantic philosophy to the progression of modern science.

Siddheshwar Rameshwar Bhatt, PhD

On May 18, 2024, Dr. S. R. Bhatt was withdrawn from this world. Dr. Bhatt was a friend to the Bhakti Vedanta Institute for almost 50 years. He presented on the “Philosophical Foundations of Life” at the BI’s “First International Conference on Life Comes From Life,” from October 14-19, 1977. Later, he presented at several Science & Scientist conferences and assisted in publishing with Springer Singapore.
