What?Our Focus
The Princeton BVISCS is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit educational organization focusing on the relevance of ancient India's Bhagavat philosophy and the philosophy of 19th-century German Idealist, G.W.F. Hegel, to progressing present cultural and scientific perspectives of life and consciousness beyond materialistic conclusions.

Why?Our mission
Our mission is to encourage recognition of the intrinsic connection between a person's internally conscious world and the externally experienced world, so that human flourishing is understood as necessarily dependent on an individual cultivating a proper relationship with inner and outer environments simultaneously.
Fulfilling this mission contributes to nurturing the spiritual development of science, culture, education, and society, so that civilization can evolve beyond present worldwide ecological and mental health crises.
How?Our work
We pursue our mission through print books, digital media including PhilPaper research articles by Bhakti Madhava Puri, PhD, peer-reviewed publications by his students, YouTube videos on Mahaprabhu Broadcasting Channel – MBC, and Substack content like the SRI MAHANET newsletter, the Science of Spirit blog, and the Garden State of Mind Podcast, as well as online/in-person gatherings such as the Science & Scientist Annual International Conference Series (hybrid format), weekly online Zoom discussions, and the Bhagavat Cultural Immersion: Kirtan & Prasadam Distribution (Harinam mantra meditation and sanctified vegetarian meals) for the local NJ community.
Who?Our history
Established by the desire of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in the mid-1970s, the Bhaktivedanta Institute (BI) has a rich track record of contributing to spiritual transformations in modern culture and science by facilitating inquiry into the origin, purpose, and evolution of matter, life, consciousness, and self.
Today, the Bhaktivedanta Institute has grown into an international ecosystem of autonomous institutes, each inspired by one of the founding members’ (Founding Director Dr. T.D. Singh, Dr. M.A. Marchetti, and Dr. R.L. Thompson) distinct approaches to exploring this shared vision and history.
After being further spiritually nurtured by Bhakti Rakshak Sridhara Maharaj in the 80s, and offering significant contributions to Hegel studies in the 1990s and 2000s, Dr. B. Madhava Puri (M.A. Marchetti) established the Bhakti Vedanta Institute of Spiritual Culture and Science in Princeton, New Jersey, USA, in 2012. His students, including Krishna Keshava Das (Christopher Rölke) and others, continue carrying this work forward today.
